Embedded in Beirut: A communion with ancestors

By Louis Odion, FNGE
Many wished they were allowed to capture the moment with the camera, but the literary amazon from Borno beheld a different picture in the officially restricted space. She saw politics in the classification of the Jeita Groto by UNESCO as the "world's 15th wonder" and not within the first 10. "I've seen two or three other heritage sites around the world rated higher, but honestly, I don't think anyone of them compares to what I just saw here," said Mrs. Razinatu Mohammed, a Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Maiduguri, inside the bus taking us back to the Notre Dame University, Beirut last Saturday evening.  It was the end of the first day of exploration by the visiting Nigerian mission in Lebanon.  In terms of aesthetics, the award-winning novelist may have a point. 2019 &NIGERIA
“I believe whole and generally that the best man for Nigeria’s top job haven is an Accountant-General I am here to serve, and I believe the best man for Nigeria’s top job haven served as an Accountant-General of the Federation and a two-term governor of “the most peaceful states in Nigeria” is my humble self.I tell you Gombe is peaceful because of leadership. We will replicate it if we take over office. Cabinet will be formed from the day I'm given the job We have seen how PDP govern; we have seen how it is not about witch-hunting, not about chasing people up and down and leaving the key thing to be done. It is about effective leadership. “For some of us we would have just sit at the back and watch what is going on in this great country, but some of us are products of this great vision of Nigeria created by our founding fathers. It is not time for rest, yet and I say it again, the best man for Nigeria’s top job haven served as an Accountant-General of the Federation…
