"There are more people dying of malaria than any specific cancer. The malaria parasite has been killing children and sapping the strength of whole populations for tens of thousands of years. It is impossible to calculate the harm malaria has done to the world"

Ned Nwoko Foundation pledged its commitment to the fight against malaria in the country.

The foundation is seeking more collaboration with Nigerians to eradicate malaria from the country and the rest of Africa.
Founder of the Foundation and businessman, Ned Nwoko noted that malaria remained a major problem in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

Nwoko said: “The fight against malaria means a lot to me. We are looking at eradicating malaria in Africa starting with Nigeria.
“There are 54 countries in Africa, six of them are already malaria-free and we are trying to do what they did. The first one will be fumigating Nigeria; it involves everyone because every home and the environment have to be fumigated.

"Malaria is not a white man’s problem, it is Africa’s problem. We will collaborate with you in what you are doing; you will collaborate with us in what we are doing so that we can achieve some common goals. Everything that we are doing is for public service and the public good.

Meanwhile, Still on His two-pronged approach in fighting malaria, the billionaire plans a heavy fumigation of Africa and funding research endowments for a malaria vaccine in five universities across Africa to the tune of $750,000. It was gathered that each university will receive a research grant of $150,000.
Preparatory to his departure from South Africa, Nwoko who went through a safety briefing on the trip, was spotted with Captain Hamish Harding and a teenager, Giles Harding, the youngest human ever to visit Antarctica.Image may contain: outdoor and nature

His words: "Malaria is a majorly African problem. If you understand that, then you will comprehend why there is no concerted effort to find a permanent cure to it.

"There is no family in Nigeria that has been spared. No family that has not lost some loved relatives," he asserted.
* God bless Dr Nwoko for his tireless fight against malaria
